It's 2022 and the IRD just told me I don't have to keep paper copies of GST receipts any more, the information from them in digital form is good enough (don't even need a facsimile). Wow, we're rocketing into the 21st Century NZ!

Doggo update, not sure we go the same dog back after grooming 😂

This essay from \@schneierblog is a very level-headed consideration of crypto, DAOs, free speech and regulation. Very much worth a read. schneier.com/blog/archives/202

So fun to see old pics from \@moldythemonkey and I teaching \@thecarpentries back in 2016. Thanks for the pics \@SelFdz!

QT SelFdz: \@ppgardne \@jduckles Of course I do!!! He helped us get started in Mexico back 2016. Proof:

So so so agree. How we gather, welcome each other, listen, work together and share ideas matters. How we build organizations and teams, all of this is often undervalued but incredibly important.

QT mpedson: …How we meet — the formats and settings we use — has a profound influence on the kinds of thoughts we can think.. Strategy doesn't have to be a corporate thing in offices with whiteboards and gantt charts. New kinds of thinking require new kinds of settings; new tools.

I’m a little thrilled that capsicums aren’t $6 each anymore.

Faygo Red Pop available at Fresh Choice in NZ. WHY!? This is a very niche soda from Michigan. Now if we could get Vernors here, I’d be into that!

TFW when your VPS hosting site's data center power has been down for 6+ hours.

QT ContaboCom: Still experiencing a disruption in our Seattle Data Center. We’re sorry for the inconvenience.

This is the monogram.org Mastadon server. monogram.org started in 1999 as a community of likeminded people interested in open discourse about technology, arts, culture, and a better world. The domain monogram.org is inspired by Robert Rauschenberg's Combine Monogram. We got inspired, around 1994, by Monogram through the documentary series "The Shock of the New" where Robert Hughes discusses pop art and its influences on modern culture. The community around monogram.org has continued a sort of Flex Seminar through online forums and other activities over the years.
