today is the first day of my three week west coast tour! i slept almost the whole way to pdx, but woke up in time to take a snap of mt rainier hood! i’ll be posting more pics as i take ‘em.
Hi Boyer…I check this site out every now and again since I have been in contact with Beth. FYI…that pic isn’t Mt. Rainier…actually, it looks more like Mt. St. Helens to me, which is just a bit south of Rainier. It is pretty easy to spot Rainier, as it is very rounded, and St. Helens is much more pointy, like the pic.
Yeah…I realized after I wrote that message that it was hood, not st. helens…st. helens really doesn’t have a whole lot of snow on it. I do see Baker and Rainier all of the time (when they are out), so i basically just knew it wasn’t one of those!

yeah, i screwed up. it’s actually mt hood. it hovers rather stately-like over portland.
